In the spring from April to mid-June, we will offer
bulbs that will bloom this year. The selection will be limited to a few
varieties each week. The varieties will be posted on the web site each
week and can be reserved for Saturday delivery at the Farmers Market.
The description of the bulb will include name, type, color, and size
(stem length).
Around Mother’s Day we will have Lisianthus
plugs available. This 2001 ‘Cut Flower of the Year’ will be
available in various colors – blue, purple, pink, white, yellow,
and the ‘new’ lavender. They will bloom in mid-July.
July will bring a large selection of Sunflowers. We
grow the pollen less varieties. This makes them a pleasure to have on
the table. Add some sunshine to your day with a bouquet of Sunflowers
and Ornamental Grasses.
Each year mid-September brings our bulb sale. We
will have around 30 to 40 different Lilies. They will be Longiflorum
Asiatic, Oriental, Trumpets, L.A. Hybrids, and L.O. Hybrids (Long Hocum
Oriental). All these make magnificent additions to any garden.
For
the Christmas Holidays, we have potted super-jumbo amaryllis. The
colors are limited because of the bulb size. They are usually red,
white, red/white, and pink. Orders are taken for delivery in November
and December.
